Las Vegas Gambles with an Uncertain Water Future – New York Times.

The effect of climate change on Colorado River streamflow was recently discussed in a New York Times article, including discussion of the current storage levels in Lake Mead.  The article discussed how cities are planning for the uncertainty associated with climate change, and preparing for the possibility of reduced water supply large cities like Las Vegas.  Click on the following link to the full article: Las Vegas Gambles with an Uncertain Water Future.

Reservoir Under Construction South of Denver, but no Water to Fill Reservoir – Denver Post

Rueter-Hess Reservoir, one of the largest water supply reservoirs in Colorado, is being built by Parker Water and Sanitation District south of Denver.  Although the reservoir would be a huge boost to an area that primarily relies on unsustainable ground water supplies, the water supply for the reservoir is not certain and most likely will need to be imported from as far as Flaming Gorge Reservoir.  Click on the following link to the full article: Rueter-Hess Reservoir Water Supply.
